April 7, 2012

Céline Dion is Canadian singer from Quebec. She sings both in French and in English. She has collaborated a lot with the French singer and song-writer, Jean-Jacques Goldman. The song J’irai où tu iras is part of the album D’Eux released in 1995. D’Eux is the best French-language selling album of all time (10 millions copies sold worldwide).

Listen to the first two lines of the chorus :

J’irai où tu iras (I’ll go where you’ll go)
Mon pays sera toi (My country will be you)

Note the verb “aller” and “être” in the future tense.
